Be a productive and successful manager can sometimes depend on luck. However, in most cases depends on the personality, the way they work and their habits. For a manager, the Time is too valuable to waste.
Productivity and time efficiency are certainly the biggest concerns of managers. In fact it is the first thing taught in any MSc in Business: achieving our goals is a road to be traveled in the smartest way possible.
As managers we must remember that our time is very limited compared to the number of tasks that must be performed and the multitude of choices we make. It is therefore appropriate to adopt a series of habits that simplify our decisions.
1. Work at Peak Productivity
Coaches insist we should take advantage of times when we are more willing to work. Many writers prefer to work early because during those moments of inspiration they can write for hours. The same happens to many students who get up at 5 in the morning because they are easier to assimilate knowledge that at 5 pm for example. A manager feels the same.
It is a good idea to concentrate on the job being done and remove from the equation the rest in these hours of better performance. Do not answer the phone or check email constantly keep us on the line to accomplish the achievement of our goals.
2. Start with the Simplest Tasks

Such habits can help to reduce your list of pending things faster at the beginning, so that we can visually feel that we are closer to getting everything that we have proposed in the day, week or month.
3. Relax and do not always think about Work
When we are not sufficiently rested our heads does not work well so taking decisions is more difficult. In this sense, many managers opt for sleep at least seven every day, and take a vacation period regularly. The ability to disconnect is something to work with, with the goal of returning such work without worries, wanting to be productive. With these habits we will see how quickly we learn to be good leaders in our company.
4. No Meetings until they are Decisive
This may sound obvious, but more often than they should, managers meet with their colleagues to discuss issues that are still not clear, so these meetings become a back and forth of ideas that ultimately will not reach any site due to changes in their decisions. So it is really important, before start a meeting, to prioritize tasks and have a clear thinking with the objective to be achieved.
